Program Overview

  • Established in 1993.
  • Have performed over 1,300 transplants since program inception; 160 performed in 2008 making our program one of the largest in the U.S.
  • Extensive experience performing autologous and allogeneic transplants including related, unrelated and umbilical cord blood transplants.
  • First program in North America accredited by the Foundation for the Accreditation of Cell Therapy and only program to be re-accredited three times.
  • Certified by the National Marrow Donor Program as a transplant center, and a regional bone marrow collection center.
  • Program is part of the Bone Marrow Transplant Clinical Trial Network; an NIH sponsored consortium of stem cell transplant programs participating in multi-institutional trials.
  • Actively involved in clinical trials and transitional research projects that explore state-of-the-art therapies addressing optimal stem cell sources, management of specific diseases, and improvement in supportive care.
  • Full-service clinic where bone marrow biopsy, catheter placements, chemotherapy infusions, transfusions, transplants, and other procedures take place.
  • Bilingual physicians, clinical and support staff.
